Working on SMARTBROKER+
For over a year, I worked as a working student in UI/UX at Smartbroker AG. Their core product, SMARTBROKER+, is one of the largest neobrokers on the german market. Together with my team, I contributed to the development of various features for SMARTBROKER+ and WallstreetOnline.

Why?
Studying alongside my studies
As much as I enjoy my time at university, it largely stays within its own academic bubble. From the very beginning, it was important to me to work alongside my studies to gain valuable experience, develop skills, understand the daily life of a Product Designer, and be part of real product development.
How?
With hands-On Design Experience
I was part of a great design team that not only covered all design requirements for the product but also developed strategic concepts for the company's software solutions. As a working student, I was assigned to new topics and areas almost every week. Most of my time was spent designing features in Figma and bringing them to life in collaboration with other teams.
Some of the features I worked on
Rebrush
The entire product was rebrushed, the design system was rebuilt, and the Figma architecture was restructured.
Portfolio Sorting
The portfolio view was redesigned based on user feedback and enhanced with a sorting function.
Backoffice-App
I developed various features for the backoffice app tailored to the needs of the internal customer support team.
Portfolio Transfer
I contributed to the development of the portfolio transfer feature to simplify switching from other brokers.
Tax Exemption Order
Function for applying for and modifying a (joint) tax exemption order.
WallstreetOnline Trends
Development of the trends section within the WallstreetOnline app.
