One Orbit to collect and find them all
Together with Frank Stryj, I explored the question of how unity can be created in today's diversity of media types and sources. Our app concept stores content across different media in a central location and enables users to rediscover it using automatically generated tags.

Why?
Where did I save that again?
Every day, we come across ideas, inspirations, and memories that we try to save, organize, and share. However, traditional folder systems can no longer keep up with the variety of analog and digital media, numerous platforms, and different file formats. They are either too generic, failing to reflect the individuality of their content, or too specific, making it easy to lose track.

Our goal was to create a system with a single storage location that also gives users the confidence to efficiently rediscover their saved content.
How?
With Orbit
The Orbit
All content shared by users with the app is stored as "items" within the "Orbit". These items are structured chronologically and are not pre-sorted.
Search with
Each item is automatically assigned descriptive tags through image, speech, text, and video recognition. Users can search for these tags within their orbit to intuitively rediscover their content. By combining multiple tags, the search is refined. This allows users to describe exactly what they are looking for and navigate efficiently to their goal.
Add Items
Users add impressions, activities, inspirations, and contributions from both the digital and analog worlds to their orbit by sharing or adding content through our app.
Intentions
Once a specific intention is associated with saved content, such as decorating a new flat, multiple items can be grouped into an intention. However, an intention does not create a new storage location. All clustered items remain part of the entire orbit.
